The US Department of Defence (DoD) has ordered $19m (£12m) worth of Avon Rubber’s M50 gas mask for delivery next financial year. The order comes on top of the existing order of 100,000 masks per year. Avon has a ten year contract to supply the DoD with the M50 which runs until 2016.
