JSC Izodom, a Russian construction materials manufacturer, has announced plans to invest around $5.7m to launch a new plant to produce special polystyrene insulation panels for buildings.
Izodom, which also manufactures a range of packaging materials, intends to construct the new unit at its existing industrial site in Novovoronezh in Russia's Voronezh region.
The plant is set to turn out a range of 'sandwich' panels, made from extruded polystyrene, according to investment consulting firm Marchmont Capital Partners in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.
The facility, which will have an annual capacity of about 100,000 sq metres of panel products, is expected to be commissioned in late 2009, said Marchmont Capital's online Russian investment news service.
It quoted Izodom's ceo Vyacheslav Kondratyev as stating that the project is to be financed largely from his company's own funds.
