Golden Valley opens new stock warehouse

Golden Valley, the Gloucestershire-based pallet shrink-wrap specialist, has announced the opening of a new warehouse and distribution centre to meet growing demand for its products.
The new facility is located alongside the group’s existing premises in Stonehouse, near Gloucester, and is expected to store more than £1.2m-worth of stock.
Suzanne Griffiths, Golden Valley’s managing director, said demand had reached levels that required the company create extra space.
“We receive deliveries of pallet wrap film from suppliers all over the world and we aim to fulfill orders within 24 hours. This means we need to hold extensive stocks,” said Griffiths.
“We rely on an efficient supply chain model and last year we were able to increase storage capacity at our existing store by adopting very narrow aisle storage technology but, quite simply, demand has increased by such a level that we need more storage space,” she added.
