By Bill Bregar, Plastics News
Posted 20 August 2012

A London-based private equity firm has formed a limited partnership to jointly manage the operations of Sullair, a US manufacturer of rotary screw compressors used for desiccant dryers and other applications.

Having bought the industrial businesses of Hamilton Sundstrand, including Sullair, from United Technologies Corporation, BC Partners and the Washington-based Carlyle Group have formed a limited partnership to jointly oversee management of Sullair.

Based in Michigan City, Sullair is a global supplier of stationary and portable compressors, compressed air contaminant removal equipment, vacuum systems and contractors’ air tools.

Terms were not disclosed for the deal, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter.
