Storopack bubbles up with cool sales figures
By Anthony Clark Posted 20 August 2012
Storopack has reported strong first-half figures. Sales were up 4.2% on the same period last year, the result of improved services for both flexible and custom-made protective packaging and technical moulded components, according to the firm.

The company said its most “successful innovations” include Bubble Film, a flexible protective packaging that allows customers to produce air-cushion sheets in-house.
Increased sales in the areas of custom-made protective packaging have also helped the company grow, along with technical moulded components for insulation such as a pallet-based pack for temperature-controlled shipping and lagging for room ventilation systems.
Hermann Reichenecker, a managing partner at Storopack, said that increases in material and energy costs are “both a challenge and an opportunity”. “Through the conceptual design of its products, as well as ongoing investment in energy-saving production technologies, Storopack already enjoys a competitive advantage in terms of energy costs and materials consumption that the company intends to build upon,” he explained.
In 2011, consolidated revenues were €320.2m, a 5.8% percent increase on the previous year.
