Data Plastics wins Oxfordshire sustainability award

Data Plastics has won the Sustainability award at the 2012 Oxfordshire Business Awards. The accolade was presented to Joe Reeve, the firm's managing director, by sports personality Kriss Akabusi.

The award is given for resource efficiency, cuts in carbon emissions, innovations in sustainability and environmental job creation.
“I am delighted to say that we ticked all of the boxes,” said Reeve. “We won against stiff competition having previously been a finalist in the recent 2012 West Oxfordshire business awards.
“We were fed up with the negative press that our industry gets and we hope that our success will encourage other moulders to show that we can be as green as other industries,” he added.
“If we accept that 30% of global warming is caused by industry we need to do our bit and also be seen as part of the solution,” he added.
