The aim is to boost Dorset’s recycling rate to 65% by 2015

Waste and recycling container manufacturer Straight has won a three-year contract with the Dorset Waste Partnership. The £750,000 deal will see the company provide 200,000 items including kerb-side waste caddies.

Jonathan Straight, chief executive for Straight, said, “We are delighted to have been awarded the contract with Dorset Waste Partnership and we are looking forward to working with them.

"We are excited to be assisting them with the implementation of a more cohesive recycling scheme and believe that the new scheme will offer considerable benefits to both Dorset Waste Partnership and Dorset residents.”

The Dorset Waste Partnership consists of the seven Dorset councils.
