Former PTL chief offers polymer NVQs with IQ
By Anthony Clark Posted 6 July 2012
Industry Qualifications (IQ) has been approved by qualification regulator Ofqual to offer NVQs in polymer processing at levels 1, 2 and 3.
“On a personal note, I am delighted to have the opportunity to re-engage with the polymer sector,” said IQ chief executive Raymond Clarke, the former head of Polymer Training Limited (PTL).
“The experience of working for a centre offering polymer qualifications during my time at PTL has been helpful to the work that has been taken forward within IQ, but even so, progress on polymer qualifications could not have been achieved without the support and expertise of the Polymer Training and Innovation Centre (PTIC) at Wolverhampton College.”
Clarke, who has worked in training for the security industry since the demise of PTL in 2007, is looking to develop IQ internationally. The organisation is partly owned by Wolverhampton College, home to the PTIC.
