RPC’s all sorted for jubilee sweets container

The labels were based on vintage Sainsbury’s packaging and the retailer’s early poster designs.

Supermarket giant Sainsbury’s selected containers from RPC for a range of vintage-style confectionery and snacks to celebrate HM The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June.

The 760ml standard PET jars were supplied by RPC Blackburn in a clear polymer, which not only allowed Sainsbury’s to maximise the colourful contents but also reflected the traditional feel of the limited edition range, according to the manufacturer.

The containers were crowned with a gold 89mm cap supplied by RPC Halstead.

Sainsbury’s introduced a 14-item heritage range for the Jubilee, including jars of vintage sweets such as Liquorice Allsorts and Dolly Mixtures in the RPC containers, as well as preserves, soft drinks and beer.
