Albis bags investment at its Knutsford facility

Bagging systems at Albis’ compounding facility in Knutsford site have been centralised and upgraded to automatic operation by Nottingham-based Chronos BTH.

The automated system replaces hand bagging.

The new centralised automatic packing systems, which partly replace manual operation, are based around a tubular form, fill and seal system (T-FFS).

The automatic packing system has been integrated with the Albis SAP systems. This allows all packing requirements including bag weights and product specifications for the bag labels to be automatically downloaded while packing data from a weighing controller provides the firm with information for stock control and production purposes.
