Brewster’s beer won a SIBA medal after four months in a Petainer keg

Plastic keg manufacturer Petainer is helping UK-based Brewster’s brewery manage its transport costs, reverse-logistics and waste management as well as ensuring the overall quality of its products.
The plastics company is supplying its 30-litre PET kegs, which Petainer claims are resistant to oxygen pick-up, ensuring that the beer doesn’t lose its taste.
Significantly lighter than metal containers and able to be blown in situ, Petainer kegs need less storage space, substantially reduce the price of transportation and completely remove the cost of return-logistics.
Sean McArdle, owner of Brewster’s, said: “We’ve kept beer in the keg for three to four months and straight away it’s got a Society of Independent Brewers
(SIBA) medal competing against other breweries.”
