No spills thrill with Safesip drinks cover

Posted 30 October 2012

Addmaster’s silver-based Biomaster anti-bacterial additive is being used in the Safesip drinks cover. The no-spill flexible lid is designed for use by children and in healthcare markets.

Safesip won Coolest New Product at the Mobility Roadshow 2012.

Paul Morris, managing director of Addmaster, said: “By adding Biomaster into this unique product it provides another value added feature to the Safesip performance. The benefits of including Biomaster will be particularly useful when Safesip is used in hospitals, care homes and for those with limited mobility.”

The Safesip concept was developed by Melissa Edmunds after her young son knocked over a drink in a restaurant. The reusable covers are manufactured in a food-grade silicone and can be fitted onto glasses, cups and cans.

“This has been a long journey from initial idea to the final product being launched and I would like to thank everyone who has helped me along the way,” said Edmunds. “I am so excited that Safesip is now available and will help with everything from those annoying little spills to enabling those with disabilities to drink with dignity."
