Zell, Germany-based Paccor, a manufacturer of rigid plastic food packaging, has teamed up with 4 Aces Liquid Packaging to provide a bespoke distribution service for Paccor’s products across the United Kingdom.
Hertford-based 4 Aces will buy and then supply a wide range of Paccor’s products to Paccor’s smaller and medium-sized customers.
This new partnership follows the closure of Paccor’s Veriplast factory in County Durham and the company’s subsequent investment in its foodservice manufacturing plant in Holland.
Stuart Gray, the UK sales manager for Paccor’s Foodservice division, explained: “The closure of our factory in County Durham meant that we had to rethink our distribution strategy in the UK. While we are now servicing our major customers directly from Holland, we needed a distribution partner to help us reach our other UK clients.
“Teaming up with 4 Aces made perfect sense, as this will provide a solution to all the needs of our smaller and medium-sized customers, offering flexible delivery and excellent service and product choices.”
Among Paccor’s offerings to be distributed via 4 Aces will be all sizes and variants of vending cups, PP and PS drinking cups, salad bowls, sushi trays and catering platters.
Chris Penn, the sales manager of 4 Aces, explained that the new partnership had already enabled 4 Aces to invest in a new 930 square meter distribution warehouse adjacent to its headquarters.
4 Aces Liquid Packaging has hitherto specialised in water cooler packaging, servicing bottlers and distributors nationwide. Buying Paccor’s products will complement and enhance this service, said Penn.
