Demat, organiser of the Euromold tool, design and product development trade show, has announced that it will run a new Amerimold trade show in Cincinnati on 11-13 May.
Amerimold is being organised jointly with Gardner Publications, the Cincinnati-based trade show company and publisher of magazines including Plastics Technology. The deal was struck at NPE2009 by Demat managing director Eberhard Döring and Gardner Publications managing director Richard Kline.
Lisa Dodge has been appointed by Gardner as managing director for Amerimold. Dodge has been manager of Gardner’s Moldmaking and Time Compression trade shows.
At a news conference in Frankfurt, Dodge said she sees high potential for the Amerimold event, as “the US market lacks a comprehensive design-through-series-production conference and expo”.
Euromold 2009, scheduled for 2-5 December in Frankfurt, expects to attract 1,500 exhibitors. The 2008 show drew 58,842 visitors.
The US move follows Demat’s introduction of its Asiamold fair in Guangzhou, China, which started in 2007, in cooperation with fair organizer Messe Frankfurt China. The next Asiamold is scheduled for 16-18 September.
