Death at JFC Plastics was avoidable hears court

An accident that killed Steven Bennett, 31, at St Helens-based JFC Plastics back in 2005 was wholly avoidable, Liverpool crown court heard.

The equipment he was operating had been imported from Belgium but its operation manual had not been translated into English.

JFC Plastics has admitted breaching health and safety regulations but the hearing continues, according to a report in the Liverpool Echo
