Some 90 students and their teachers at Copley High School in Stalybridge, Tameside, Greater Manchester will receive a detailed presentation about the innovative airplane from Adrian Whyle (PlasticsEurope) and Richard Thommeret (Solva), who will explain the importance of plastics to the project.
Rob Butler, head of STEM at Copley High School, said: “Through this kind of event pupils get an overall impression of the plastics industry and how it benefits people. With this inspirational example of solar energy the students become aware of the importance of energy efficiency.
“We are delighted to welcome FuturEnergia, PlasticsEurope and Solvay. This event is a great example of how Copley High School is improving and bringing the curriculum to life by working closely with real world examples as we seek to raise our student’s aspirations.”
