Thermoforming

Leeds-based vacuum forming specialist Vacform Group has enhanced accuracy in trimming thermoplastic parts and reduced machine downtime by around 40%. The company has greatly improved trim control by adopting five-axis machining software. 2 April 2012
Turkish sheet extrusion and thermoforming company, SEM Plastik, is using a newly-formulated polypropylene to manufacture high-clarity, high-stiffness cups for milkshakes for a global fast-food client. The material’s properties are largely due to the incorporation of Milliken’s Hyperform nucleating agent HPN-600ei. 30 September 2011
