Nigel Hallett and Steve Trainor have teamed up to form UK Extrusion Ltd, which will represent Italian film extrusion technology group Bandera in the UK market.
Hallett is managing director of chiller and cooler supplier Isocool, while Trainor has worked in various ancillary companies, including Isocool.
Trainor said: “I am attracted to the innovative approach Bandera have to their lines and the fact that their technical assistance to their customers is so strong. They continually exceed their clients' expectations, developing close relationships during every stage and we consider that this is vitally important.”
Bandera makes extrusion equipment for blown film, which includes agricultural film and geomembranes, packaging and converting and heavy duty bags. It also makes flat die lines for PET, rigid film and sheet.
Bandera recently made a €4m (£3.4m) investment in a R&D centre, called the House of Extrusion, which also houses customer trials and test facilities which enable the company to present regular open house events.
Hallett said: “Bandera have 35,000 extruders installed worldwide and 100% of their design and production is carried out in-house in Italy. We are currently working on our first joint demonstration event with Bandera and are compiling a list of interested companies who would like to see the new technology on offer.”
