Broanmain Plastics has acquired a new manufacturing facility. The new Sussex site is located near the company’s headquarters in Dorking, Surrey.
According to Broanmain, the site was required to support customer demand for larger components, such as electronic housings.
The new production plant features eight injection moulding machines, up to 500 tonnes. The expansion will offer further support for new and existing customers in the construction and FMCG sectors.
Jo Davis, operations director at Broanmain, said: “The Sussex acquisition complements our existing technical capabilities and reduces our reliance on subcontractors.”
Broanmain manages tool design and moulds plastic components for a series of Tier 1 through 4 suppliers delivering to the automotive, aerospace, medical and consumer markets.
