Compotech AG has announced the opening of a new carbon fibre layup facility in Nyrigyhazha, Hungary.
The specialist producer of carbon composite components, with headquarters in Switzerland, has operations in various countries. In the UK, the company is based in Wiveliscombe, Somerset.
Compotech produces composite components for a variety of industrial applications, including rail and automotive.
The new Hungarian location ‘compliments Compotech’s long-established Swiss-based SMC reinforced fibre and composites capability’.
“As well as volume rail interiors and automotive exterior parts, we can now offer our customers one offs or low-volume production,” said joint MD, Marcus Schwyn.
The Hungarian facility can produce parts up to a maximum size of 3m x 2.5m. This means the company can now add wind energy producers to its list of potential customers.
Other services include full component assembly and related part logistics.
