Fibrax has announced that Slywia Gorska, EHS practitioner at the Wrexham-based rubber moulder and plastic part manufacturer, has been awarded the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
The NEBOSH General Certificate is an internationally-recognised health and safety standard which helps to minimise risk of workplace injuries to employees, customers, visitors and contractors, while also improving employee morale.
Gorska is responsible for promoting good working practices benefitting company stakeholders and ensuring Fibrax complies with relevant legislation applicable to onsite activities.
As part of her role, Gorska carries out regular risk assessments and inspections to ensure potential hazards are recorded and rectified.
By gaining the NEBOSH certificate, she now has the skillset to implement robust strategies to help prevent accidents, injuries and work-related illness.
Commenting on her achievement, Gorska said: “The programme aligns with my role and I am looking forward to implementing many of its best practises to help maintain a safe working environment for everyone working and visiting our injection moulding facility in Wrexham.
Gorska also holds the NEBOSH General Certificate in Environmental Management.
