Following the launch of what was billed as the world’s shortest 24V DC anti-static bar, Devon-based Fraser Anti-Static Techniques has introduced a yet smaller close-range ionising tool.
Measuring just 47mm, the 3024 Ultra-Compact static eliminator can also be combined with a fixed nozzle for ionised air cleaning, as well as forming an ionised air gun.
As its small size predicts, the 3024 Ultra-Compact is intended for use in the most confined spaces. Built-in high-voltage electronics deliver a powerful static elimination at close range.
Fraser CEO, Bruce Clothier, said: “We’ve been able to package our advanced technology into a device that can literally fit in the palm of your hand – maintaining the power and performance you would expect from Fraser.
“We have found our customers are using it either as a single ioniser or combined with a nozzle or gun handle to form an ionised air cleaning device. It is clearly a versatile product that is also finding a home across many industries, from printing and labelling, to parts cleaning in medical and other sectors. Ion balance makes it suitable for most industrial applications where static control is essential.”
The 3024 can be retro-fitted using integrated mounting holes and standard M8 four-pin connector. With dimensions of 80 x 47 x 16mm (excluding connector), it has an ideal operating distance of between 20 – 150mm.
Each device can deliver up to 7.5kV from a low-power 24V DC input. Pulsed DC current provides excellent charge decay performance, even at longer ranges.
Other features include resistively coupled tungsten emitters, which deliver an unlimited lifespan and reduce current to a shockless level. It is further protected against under-voltage, overload and reverse polarity.
