HSPR Holdings has completed a management buy out (MBO) of HS Polymer Reprocessing.
HS Polymer Reprocessing was previously owned by Douglas Hodgson, Quentin Hartley and Jeffrey Savage. The company, based in Hyde, Cheshire, will now be led by Stephen Crompton, the company’s general manager.
Established in 2006, HS Polymer Reprocessing has five employees and an annual turnover of £250K.
The company specialises in converting waste vulcanised rubber into a form which can be incorporated into virgin rubber compounds, with little or no loss of physical or mechanical properties.
The company is based on a 560m2 site, which has undergone full quality analysis and quality control reviews.
Stephen Crompton is a polymer chemist who has worked with a series of companies in the field. Speaking about the MBO, he said: “I am delighted to acquire ownership of HS Polymer Reprocessing Ltd, where I have worked as the general manager for four years. We are an established, known business within the polymer industry and I am committed to growing the business further.”
HS Polymer Reprocessing was recognised as the Tameside Micro Business of the Year 2018.
