Macfarlane Packaging has launched ‘Simplicit.e’, a new online order platform.
The system is described as ‘an e-trading platform designed to make every aspect of packaging procurement easier for [company] customers’.
Simplicit.e is a responsive system, meaning that it can be used on any device, including phones and tablets. Orders can be delivered via email or file transfer, such as Dropbox.
Customers receive notifications about order progress via the system. Invoices can be sent to their finance department, while payment can be made automatically if signed up for the self-invoicing and payment suite.
Mark Selby, ecommerce director at Macfarlane, said: “Simplicit.e is designed to respond to customers’ needs for an easy-to-use order platform that reduces administration and easily integrates with their existing system.”
Simplicit.e replaces the ‘Customer Connect’ system, launched in 2005.
Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Macfarlane Packaging is the UK’s largest protective packaging supplier.
