Wittmann Battenfeld (WB) has introduced TEMIOne, an MES (manufacturing execution system) which eliminates many of the hurdles which can stop plastics moulders from installing these control functions.
Designed by WB and partner ICE-flex, the MES offers a series of features supporting ease of use.
The TEMIOne system resides on a separate data server and is pre-installed with the WB control cabinet. No IT work is required.
The system does not require any external network communication. WB also says that the system can communicate using standard protocols used across plastics moulding shops.
The MES is accessible through the Unilog B8 control system, with a dashboard offering a ‘complete overview’ of efficiency parameters. The system can automatically communicate with Wittmann auxiliary equipment.
Perhaps most importantly, WB says the TEMIOne MES comes ‘at a low price’.
The MES offers moulders full Industry 4.0 data capture, including evaluation of quality parameters and error message merging, which combines all retrieved error messages in a single location.
The system further offers KPI analysis and full part traceability, which supports customer requirements in a variety of industry sectors, including automotive and medical moulding.
